Aug 29, 2008Pros: I had never heard of this pub, but saw it advertising valentines weekends. Hubbie and I decided to try it and stay overnight. The food was fantastic and all freshly cooked. Very well presented too, and reasonably priced. It was a busy little place and full of atmosphere. It was family run and just had a great feel to it.
They also do good lunch prices in the week too, and we have sinced returned to sample their lunch menu, which again was great value and freshly cooked.
The accommodation we had was in a converted barn. Our room was on the first floor, however there were rooms on the ground floor too. All the furnishings were new, and the rooms were full of charachter with low windows and a window ledge. Lovely creaky floors that you find in old buildings. Solid wood furnishings and finished to a high standard
Cons: The car park was small but adequate, apart from that, could not fault the place.
