About us

Nestled in Exeter's historic Cathedral Yard, ABode Exeter occupies the city's oldest hotel, bringing chic modern style to its formal surroundings. The hotel's easygoing MC Cafe Bar is an appealing space for laid-back daytime dining, with a smart menu of international classics that makes the most of succulent local produce and ingredients, all fresh and skilfully prepared by the kitchen staff. Even if you simply pop in for a coffee and a slice of chocolate cake, you can expect the finest coffee in town, whilst you treat yourself to a decadent piece of delicious and rich homemade chocolate cake, prepared for you by the talented Michael Caines pastry chefs. Later on, live jazz and DJs create an upbeat evening mood and during the summer, food is served in the attractive cobbled seating area with striking views of the beautiful cathedral.
