Supermarkets in HATFIELDVery rude and unhelpful on Sunday at 4pm, they had closed but would not allow me in to help my wife pack the groceries. These were the security guards words "you'd better sit down over there mate 'cos you aren't coming in". While I stood outside and waited they allowed three women inside. Where is the fairness ??
This tesco express in Alvaston is not one of the largest stores around however it does stock and sell everything and anything you could want - and you could easily do your weekly shop here. On the aisles and shelves including fresh fruit and vegetables, pre packed meat, crisps, chocolates, milk, butter, sugar, cheese and so on. In addition to selling all the groceries and health and beauty products you could ever want or need this store also has a pharmacy located inside, making it ideal if you need to pick up a prescription or similar at the same time as doing a bit of grocery shopping. Staff are helpful, friendly and polite. Within this store there are a few self service counters - if you only have a few items, and there are also manned tills. At busy times - such as dinner time, queues can build up, but I have never had to queue or wait in this store longer than a couple of minutes.
Tesco Yeading Extra is located on the Marina estate in Yeading. It is quite a large store, although not as large as Tesco Bulls Bridge at the other end of the bypass.
There is a petrol station on site, as well as recycling facilities, and there is disabled and Parent and Child parking. There is also a small parade of shops, including a post office, chip shop and carpet supplier.
Inside the store is a large range of non food and clothing. There is also an opticians and a phone shop. Being a supermarket, it stocks a wide range of food including halal and polish ranges. Although this is a busy store they manage the queues well, which is my main reason for shopping here. I do think they should put in some self checkouts.
My only criticism in this store is some of the staff can be really ignorant. My baby son has a problem with his feet and wears corrective boots, and we have been pointed out by the staff on several occasions. It is bad enough when it is customers, but to be openly laughed at by staff is disgraceful.
I love popping into this Tesco’s store in Irlam – it’s always busy, but you’ll find everything here. There’s a good choice of clothing, dvd’s, cd’s, books… I go on, there’s so much! Great food section which covers everything… in store bakery, frozen section, quality meats, superb! Lots and lots of checkouts to pay at… and the car park is huge too! There’s a very good customer service desk too which is great at dealing with refunds and complaints – I’ve used that desk twice and they’ve always been helpful. Brilliant Tesco branch in Irlam, if in the area, I urge you to try it.
Tesco Express located in Church Gresley is a convenient, well located and handy store that is open 7 days a week. Packed and stocked with everything you could need from sandwiches to milk, bread, pet food and alcohol, this store is ideal if you are after a few bits to top up your weekly shop. With parking located to the rear of this store, there is no need to be driving around aimlessly trying to find a parking space. As I mentioned this store is open 7 days a week, but its always best to check opening times before you go, as weekend times vary to weekdays opening times. I always find this store to be clean, bright, welcoming and well laid out. Clean hand baskets are always available at the entrance. All aisles, shelves and displays are always kept well replenished and in good order. Staff are polite and friendly and there are always two or three floating around the store, be it serving customers, taking deliveries or replenishing shelves
