Reliable and a good variety of stock (Recommended)

Pros The W H Smith has two floors in the Croydon branch so they have managed to get quite alot into that space. There's plenty of books, including local books about Croydon and its history. There's also DVD's and CD's amongst computer games. Also there's normally some offers going on with their drinks if you want to pop in for a light refreshment.

Cons I suppose the only con I can think of is that with most items you can get them for cheaper online. W H Smith is a nice store but not the most price competitive.

WHSmith's (Recommended)

Pros Big variety of products, from books to CDs to DVDs, with plenty of offers and book vouchers available when you purchase the products. There's also a selection on snacks and drinks, and a selection of magazines available.

Cons Queues can be a bit long and the shop generally overcrowded.

Highstreet stationers (Recommended)

Pros Good quality products you can trust.
Some good offers on and also vouchers given out on a weekly basis giving you money off your total when you spend a certain amount.
Clubcard scheme which offers you points as you spend.
Helpful and well laid out stores which are generally the same throughout the country.
Sell everything from stationary, to games, to dvds, to drinks and cigarettes.

Cons Can be some long queues and can get very busy.
Some products are overpriced and cheaper to buy elsewhere.
