Kitchen 4 Months On.

Its easy to write a review saying how pleased you are with quality, value and service immediately after buying something, but when you have lived with it for a while sometimes the initial high wears off, not so with my Chippendale kitchen.
Despite initial reservations about buying on line the price from Selffit was much much better than I could get despite wearing out several pairs of shoes comparing the so called mega discounted kitchens at the usual retailers.
The delivery was quick, complete & undamaged, the only problem was non availability of my chosen handles, but the second choice were if anything better and delivery was again very quick.
As I fitted the kitchen over several months !! I discovered a drawer clip was missing on the last cabinet, Andy sorted it out straight away despite several months having passed.
The finished kitchen has been in use for several months, the quality is excellent, and my wife is delighed with it.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Selfit kitchens.

Amazing Service

I was hunting high and low for a good quality worktop at short notice, in order to finish Street Farm Barn, our self-catering accommodation. I checked the website, phoned Andy on Wednesday who was super-helpful, telling me exactly what I needed and could cut it to length and deliver it before the end of Friday!

As promised, the van turned up at lunchtime on Friday (driven by Andy himself) with everything I needed to complete fitting the kitchen that weekend. Even got a few tips on the best product to use to clean the new sink.

Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting a decent, reliable, personal service.

Great Service

Had to replace kitchen worktop after boiler removal. Andy at Selffit was really helpful (although he admitted that it was his administrator that new all the styles), sent them a sample, got a phone call as soon as it arrived telling me the make and style. Not sure about value - had to give excellent, nobody else helped me, so had no comparison. I am sure its competitive but certainly worth it. New worktop arrived the next week. They called to arrange delivery, called on the day just before delivery, unloaded and brought inside. No problem. Great service. Would highly recommend. Now I got to get busy finding a fitter. Only hope that goes as brilliantly. Thanks Selffit!

Laminate worktops, part finished and delivered

Pros - good price, delivered right on schedule with no fuss or chasing up required etc... (so rare that that is the case!), all requested cuts done perfectly, very helpful and personal service before and after delivery.

Cons - erm... none actually! I would never have reason to go elsewhere for similar services.

This company offers and delivers an exemplory service. All components parts are cut and finished to the highst standard, and were millimetre perfect to the plan I supplied. Andy is helpful, attentive and communications are the best I've come across for a long, long time. .

Made to measure Worktops

I embarked upon a DIY kitchen upgrade and decided - with a degree of understandable uncertainty - to place an on line order for ready to measure and mitred worktops from SSKD Selfit Worktops.

I have to confess that any fears I had were quickly dispelled after an exchange of an email plan and a helpful telephone conversation that I had with Andy. From start to finish the service was excellent, friendly and very efficient.. The worktops were expertly cut and mitred to my exact requirements, protectively wrapped, and carefully delivered on time by Jim, as promised.

Based on my experience, the only thing that the purchaser will need to worry about is making sure the correct measurements are supplied to Selfit. Everything else you can leave to them. You will get exactly as it says on their tin - perfectly fitting, ready to install worktops.

I would have no hesitation in recommending their service to anyone - they deserve success.

Laminate sheet to refit yacht kitchen

A great service with good communication on the progress of the order.
I ordered the laminate sheet so that I could refit the kitchen on my yacht, 40mm standard worktops were to thick so I will be creating my own by laminating marine ply to the thickness I require. I found the advice and service I received from Selffit Worktops excellent and helpful.

Fantastic Service

I was in despearate need of a laminate worktop and most suppliers were quoting me 3 - 4 weeks to deliver something.

I found Selffit Kitchens & Worktops on the internet and when they said that they could deliver what I wanted within 24-hours I was naturally dubious. I however needed the worktops urgently and therefore placed the order with them.

Despite me placing the order on a Sunday evening, within 30-mins of me placing my order I received a telephone call to confirm my order and to arrange a suitable delivery date. The following day was offered to me!

They delivered the worktops from Suffolk to South Yorkshire, phoned me 30-mins before arrival as arranged and on arrival I have to say the worktops were exactly as described - absolutely fantastic service.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and will certainly be using them again.

This lot are very good!

From our first contact with Selffit at 9.45pm one evening we had nothing but good service from them. They sure know their business and were exactly what we were looking for. We had a problem with sizing in our kitchen and they gave good advice, cut the worksurface exactly as we required at minimal cost, sent free samples and then delivered when they said they would (even arriving half hour early).
The service was always curtious and friendly at any time any day.
If only all suppliers were this good.

I needed to get worktops fitted to a tight schedule as I only had limited holiday left to take to fit them. Despite some initial hiccups recieving samples (which was down to post office strikes), Andy and co. managed to get them delivered on time. I was particularly impressed by the availability of everyone at Selffit. It makes a pleasant change for people to get back to you immediately and everyone was friendly and helpful, including the lady who organised the samples and the delivery driver.
The delivery was a breeze, with the driver phoning half an hour before arrival in the promised time-slot, which meant I didn't have to waste a days leave waiting around.
All in all, I'd recommend Selffit to anyone thinking of using them. (The worktops look great too!)

I've been in the process of organising tiles, worktops, contractors, a new kitchen etc etc and it has been a nightmare! Well, the ONLY transaction that has gone smoothly and without issue is the worktops provided by SSKD Selffit Kitchens. They sent samples of what I asked for, they delivered on the day they said they would, they even phoned to say they'd be half an hour away and they were!! It was amazing. order late Friday Night, and it was with me by Wednesday lunchtime... though they did phone to say they couldn't provide the one I'd picked, so upgraded it in quality and size.

The worktops arrived exactly when I was told - no waiting around for vague delivery times. Andy even arranged for the delivery route to be run the other way around from normal so that he could deliver a day earlier, to fit in with my schedule. Great service, and would recommend.

So easy to fit

I was not looking forward to doing this job but I needn,t have worried. I had 2 right angled worktops to fit and they went together perfectly. I would recommend this supplier to anyone.

Can't praise them enough

OK, first off let me own up to being a really fussy person! Working in design nothing bugs me quite as much as things that don’t line up properly, are not level, or are crooked or uneven.

As a result of my pedantic (obsessional?) nature I did a lot of research and asking around when setting out to buy and install a kitchen worktop . By lucky chance I was steered towards Selffit by a friend who thought they were the bees knees in terms of price and quality.

I was not disappointed!

After a painless quotation, ordering and (extremely helpful) delivery process my worktops arrived carefully wrapped, beautifully cut and with all the relevant parts (bolts, Colorfill etc.) to install them properly. I was delighted - not least of all as I had got the quality I wanted at a price I was happy to pay.

Unfortunately (and I am embarrassed to admit this) although the worktops were exactly what I had ordered, I had unfortunately made a mistake in sizing them correctly and my beautiful worktops were of absolutely no use at all.

Feeling like a complete fool I contacted Andy at Selffit who listened carefully to what had happened and then said “Don’t worry, you are not the first to make this kind of mistake we can sort this out and we will see what we can do to keep the cost down”. To cut a long story short then Andy organized replacement worktops to be cut (to the right size!) and delivered to me in lightning quick time – all at what I’m sure must have been cost price!

It is really rare these days to find retailers who are genuinely interested in looking after their customers like this and who care about more than just grabbing your money and moving on. I cannot thank Andy and his team enough for turning around what could have been a real disaster for me and restoring my faith that there are businesses out there with pride in and commitment to what they do!

Pros: Never having ordered worktops before and not wanting to make a mistake I was a little nervous. After a friendly telephone call with Andy I was perfectly at ease and set about making a decision. Several e-mails later our order was placed and I couldn't wait to see the worktops for our new kitchen extension. Andy helped me decide on the right wood, correct width, length and even supplied the oil. The worktops were stored until we were ready for delivery but unfortunately I had to change the delivery date - this was no problem. On the newly arranged date, an early morning call from Daren let me know he was half an hour away. True to his word half an hour later Daren arrived and helped our builder carry the worktops into the house where they were safely stored.

Exceptional service

Pros: Before ordering I read the Testimonials page on the website and thought it sounded promising, but the reality far exceeded my expectations, what more could you ask for, I placed an order for two lengths of worktop in late afternoon, within a few minutes Andy phoned to arrange a delivery time the next day, we received a phone call from the delivery driver (a very personable young lady) an hour before arriving. Fantastic service, if only all companies were so well orginised, I can certainly recommend this company.

Pros: its rare to find service of this quality. the fact that it comes at a price that is cheapest in class is a bonus. the ordering process was simple with replies to each email sent promptly. the time of delivery was communicated well and confirmed by mobile phone on the day of delivery and again when andy was 15 minutes away from the house. whats more, it was delivered 1-week earlier than the initial date as I requested delivery as quick as possible. again a nice surprise. i had tried to source a similar worktop from a couple of other places and encountered abysmal, almost aggogant service. clearly the fact that one guy takes the order, confirms and delivers it is a model that works well. if you are after, poor, more expensive service with delivery liable to change on a whim, or not at all, then this is not the place for you. i ordered approximately 5-meters of worktop with 3-mitre joints, all cut impeccably. i recommend extremely highly and would use again.

Does exactly what is says on the label

Pros: I ordered some worktops from Andy at Selffit, got an E Mail straight back, and had a phone conversation with Andy he explained exactly what would happen on delivery day, and he was as good as his word. He arrived on time and checked out where we were going to store them prior to the kitchen fitters arriving, he explained in detail how to handle them ( they are quite heavy ) and they were considerably cheaper than the local builders merchant. I would use them again.

after a little shopping around for the worktops i wanted (riverwash espresso)
i found selffit to be by far the best price on them, and also they had better information with regards to fitting, extra stuff needed i hadnt considered (ie, color fill tube, joint bolts etc) and of course delivery was quick.

the guy who actually delivered them was a nice bloke too - overall, i couldn't have asked for more.

Fantastic customer service, great value

Pros: A prompt response to initial query. We wanted to add to our order, not a problem. Then we had to remove some from our order, again, no problem. Delivery arrangements were tailored to our requirements, not theirs. We got email confirmation of delivery for the Weds. We also got a phone call on the Sunday to arrange specific time to suit us. Driver arrived 2 hours early but waited until allotted time with absolutely no complaints and in a very good mood. You would normally expect to pay a premium for this kind of service but not here. No more expensive than big boys but so much easier and nicer to deal with. Support this company with your custom, they're doing everything right. A++++++++++

Customer Service like this is hard to find!

Pros: Having looked for good quality, reasonably priced worktops for weeks I came across Selffit and knew they were the Company for me for price and quality. Once I placed my order on a Sunday night and promptly had to change the delivery address, Andy sent me an email (that evening) to confirm that the changes were fine but he'd have to bring them himself as his couriers van was full. I was blown away by the service at this point, but it didn't stop there. Even though my delivery was well out of his way, he kept me informed of his progress so that I could meet him at the property I'm renovating. True to his word, he got there exactly on time and made sure I was happy with each worktop and that I had everything I needed. I cannot recommend Selffit highly enough, it was a rare pleasure doing business with Andy and I shall definitely be using them again.

Kitchen and worktop supplies

Pros: The best part about this company is 'CUSTOMER SERVICE' remember that? I ordered two large worktops,the order process was easy,I was kept informed and you can always contact Andy direct,no answerphones,no 3rd party who will "pass the message on". The best bit is the fact that Andy bends over backwards to accomodate your delivery request,he delivered my worktops at 10.30pm which allowed me to get off to work before the rush hour the following morning!!!

Had reservations at first as I am taking this to France to fit myself and needed to be sure that I was going to get everything in one go and on time. Worktops for School ICT suites

Pros: We have used Selffit several times. We use these worktops for school ICT suites, the range of worktops is good and Andy is so helpful. We know deliveries wil be on a Wednesday and Andy phones up and lets us know when he will arrive. Who else does that?

He helps us check the goods before he unloads, he helps us unload and he is number one, delivery is a very reasonable price too.

I can't recommend them highly enough - they are great! The worktops are excellent.

Pros: We called in the morning and Andy from Selffit checked stock and kept us up to date by text and phone. He checked the goods on and off the van and ran the worktop down from Suffolk as a special evening delivery (the same day) as we were really stuck. I can't recommend them highly enough - they were great!

Pros: I found Selffit on Google, and although initially aprehensive about buying something like this on line - I needn't have worried! Communications were excellent, both on line and over the phone. I was kept up to date on delivery time, and Andy arrived within 1 minute of the time he said, and considering he had more deliveries to make he was remarkably cheerful and helpful. A really good company where, for once, the customer really does come first. Would recommend to any of my friends.

Pros: I was really pleased with the service and aftercare of these guys. They don't usually deliver to my area (South Wales), but did so anyway, and on the day I wanted. The delivery driver was polite and helpful (despite having had a long day and being stuck in London traffic for 5 hours). Due to an oversight, not all the materials were delivered, but after a brief phone call I was promised it would be sent on. I can't praise the company enough and would recommend them to anyone.

Bushboard Encore Worktops

Pros: Having looked around at various 'solid worktop' options, I came across selffit. They have a very easy to use site and on-line store and the bushboard encore worktops were very good value compared to the competition. I was particularly attracted to the 6mm thick surface (double some of the competitors).
Andy was very helpful answering my questions and having placed the order, arranging delivery was very straightforward. Delivery was bang on time and Andy insisted that we inspect the front and top surfaces before accepting delivery. Now they're installed they look terrific.
I would (and have) recommend bushboard encore to anybody looking to give their kitchen a really professional finish and would look no further than selffit to supply..

Pros: Had problems getting worktops in time for my kitchen from B&Q. Found these guys on Google - fantastic service. Easy to use web site and ordering. Always kept informed by Andy with delivery and arrived bang on time on the day. Quality great. All for a better price then B&Q and one month earlier! Would use next time I do my kitchen!

Pros: I would certainly use Selffit again. I had immediate confirmation of my order, with delivery date and details. The driver confirmed 30mins before arrival. He encouraged me to check for damage, of which there was none, his load was well strapped and secure on the vehicle which must minimise any chance of damage in transit.

Pros: I`ve been in the construction industry for 40 years and Selffit are now in my top 3 suppliers. Unfailingly helpfull and professional. Everything was double checked for the cutting service; and delivered on time.

My local supplier, nor other web suppliers, could match Selffit prices.

Selffit kitchen review

Pros: Excellent - flexible service, very helpful and friendly company to deal with.
We changed our or design a number of times before ending up with our final layout and Selffit requoted each time without question.
Service and making sure the customer is happy is more important to Selffit than squeezing the last penny out of the sale.

Cons: nothing really, apart from the description of some items didn't quite match what was delivered but it was a genuine error which was put right without question!
