Its as cheap as....... erm......Primark! (Recommended)

Pros What can i say, after a day shopping looking for a bargain i stumbled into primark and i was not disappointed! A jacket, jeans, jumper and a T-shirt all for £30, i was going to spend twice that on a jacket in another store!

The shop is huge and well set out so its easy to find everything you want. There is so much stuff in there, so if your shopping for the home, the misses or just yourself you will be pleased.

The staff are friendly and quick to point you in the right direction or just help you out. I found the people on the tills to be in surprisingly high spirits considering the amount of people in the cue.

I went out to the pub in my knew kit and had quite a bit off interest, I did not look like i was wearing £30 worth of kit (OK i will get over my self now).

Cons The next day i put a whole in my jumper so it is a bit hit and miss when it comes to the quality.

When i told my friends where i got my new kit from i experienced some primak snobbery but i didn’t care because i had more money to spend on bear.

The cues in that place are astronomical at peak time and the place is packet out. Go off peak if you don’t cope well with cueing like me.

The only one thing that left a bitter taste in my mouth was that later i was informed that primark manufacture their clothes in sweatshops. I don’t know this to be true but it did make me think how much my clothes really did cost.

Shiny white beacon enticing you in (Recommended)

Pros This store in Manchester is undoubtably the largest store I have ever seen and you can see it from a fair distance away.

Unlike a lighthouse which is stands out and warns of danger this white building enticing you in for the bargains within and you will not be disappointed

On the ground floor you can find many accessories both the mens and womens fashions there are tills at both ends of the floor

The clothes are pilled high on stands in some parts and in others they are hung up, depending of course what type of clothes they are

Upstairs are children's clothing along with shoes, bedding and nightwear, again there are a couple of tills

Cons This store with it being so popular does have side effects however. The queues at the tills and changing rooms are always very large so please be prepared to waiting a considerable time for you bargains.

Also the store can look quite messy with clothes on the stands constantly being picked up from the floors as the eager shoppers drop them if they are the wrong size etc.

Staffing can be an issue with more being put on the checkouts and this would help the queuing.

All in all however for its flaws it is simple to pick up a bargain

Many Many Bargins Bargins! (Recommended)

Pros Primark, what can I say?? Students heaven... credit crunch heaven...heaven! This store is absolutely gigantic. It has 3 floors - mens downstairs, womens on the ground floor with shoes, bags, socks/tights, accessories and childrens on the top floor with womens underwear, slippers and customer returns. I love their colourful socks, the tights are fun colours and the black trousers are nice and cheap for work.

Cons It is always always so so busy in here. The queues for the changing room are always really long and then the queues to pay are also always really long. So you need to give yourself plenty of time in here, don't go in just to pick up a pair of socks, you'll be queuing for ages and fuming by the end of it. Check that your tights and socks don't have holes it before you buy them!! The queue for customer returns is also really long!!

Out Of This World, Seriously! (Recommended)

Pros Whenever i visit friends in Manchester this is the first point of call as it literally is a shopping heaven. It's really easy to find as it's just of Piccadilly Square so if you walk straight down from the train station you can't miss it.
The beauty of this particular Primark is that it's MASSIVE. There is every section you could possibly want from including womens, mens and children. Also this Primark has a home section which i haven't found in many other Primark stores. With Primark you know what you are paying for, its budget shopping at its best and obviously the bigger the store, the bigger the selection.

Cons As always with Primark they're lots of queues.

Very reasonable (Recommended)

Pros I don't have a primark in my home town blackburn so i regularly go to manchester to fill my wardrobe in this primark! I can't believe how many bargains there are in thsi store! I managed to get a gorgeous pink winter coat for just £10 and it is very stylish and everything you would expect from an expensive shop such has british home stores and marks and spencers! There is always a great range of clothes to choose form and they are always very reasonably priced.

Cons It gets very busy in here but what can you expect when there are so many bargains!

Best in town! (Recommended)

Pros Really good for your basics wardrobe, t-shirts plain black trousers, but some nice going out clothes too, when they have a sale they almost give the clothes away.Good selection of homewares duvets ,sheets, cushions etc at affordable prices.

The shop is both wheelchair and double buggy friendly although it can be a little bit of a squeeze at times.

Cons Can get very busy.

Cheap..cheap..cheap! (Recommended)

Pros Fantastic shop to stock up on your essentials in your wardrobe. Prices are unbelievably cheap. I always go in to have a look around and end up spending a fortune on accessories, bags, underwear. The underwear on the first floor is to die for, cute little sets for as little as four pounds. They also do homewear which is really reasonable too, which is often reduced even further. the queues are very long but move pretty quickly and the assistants are always really friendly.

Cons It can get a bit hectic as it is always busy and the queues are very long. The quality of the clothes are not the best but what do you expect for the price. It takes forever at the customer service desk if you want to return anything!

Student staple. (Recommended)

Pros Cheap: Where would students be without primark?

Accessibility: The areas are well designated- smart/casual wear, accessories, mens, sports, underwear, children's, seasonal, shoes and homeware. There are lifts and escalators taking you to each of the three floors easily.

If you want the latest trend, Primark is the way to go. They are very up to date. Bad thing is that you'll truly be a 'sheep' when you do buy the latest in-thing.

Cons Like others have said, this shop really does resemble a rummage sale. It can get really crowded, the queues are huge, regardless of the two or three till areas they have per floor.

You might find your colleague/friend/relative wearing the same thing as you.

Quality is bad: Do not buy things here which you expect to stay with you a long time! Especially not bras, or shoes. Clothes and underwear-wise, the fit is not too great. The shoes are not the most comfortable things, either. I've stopped buying staple-clothes here, actually (things like vests/cardigans) because a week or a few days later I'll notice a hole, or a rip in the seam, loose threads, etc. Oh, and definitely NO jeans.

great bargains for all (Recommended)

Pros Easy to get to from the greater manchester area by bus. Very easy to find , as it is so big!

this is one huge store, which has recently took over the whole of the building,

downstairs in the basement, is mens and homeware, tea towels are great 3 pounds of five, mens t-shirts can be hit and miss in terms of quality, twisting after a few washes, not ironing well, but for 3 pound you really should not complain.

on ground level it is womens, shoe and handbags galore, with plenty of of the latest tops, skirts, trousers and dresses. some of the t-shirts and be a little on the thin side, so your showing off your underwear. I have bought some lovely skirts from here and for only 8 pounds they are now going into their 4th or 5 th year, which just proves the quality of even cheap products.

on the top floor there is underwear, babys / kids and night wear a great selection of all but things like bras are really not for me and are all too often on the small size of the size, give me m&s any day

stock is brilliant and have more choice and more colours that the Oldham store

Cons it does get really busy, but don't queue in the middle floor, the upper and lower floors are often much quieter

It is very busy from opening to closing, but it does open late on a thurday

It can resemble a jumble sale, but its ok if you like a good rummage

they only have limited stock, so if you see something, buy it, as it will not be there the next day

prices between stores can vary, this one is often a few pound more that smaller stores

Primark Manchester (Recommended)

Pros Well, this is the biggest Primark I have ever seen! After spending some time trying to find this place with my wife, from the random NCP car park we paid £7 yes £7 to park for 2 hours in, we eventually found this place and wow it wasn't a disappointment.

3 whole floors of bargainous clothes, shoes, homewares, kids stuff and more. Why pay more? My wife picked up half the shop and still spent less than 2 or 3 tops in Next.

It has LOADS of stock due to demand I guess, and it wasn't hard finding my XL T Shirts or the wife's size 12 tops (which usually are the first to sell out). T-Shirts from £3, can't go wrong really.

Cons Gets REALLY busy so don't go if you are in a hurry. Expect a wait at the tills, worth it though.

Gets really hot too actually, with all the bargain hunters!

Wife says the bra sizes are a bit hit and miss!

Top store (Recommended)

Pros The Primark in manchester is just huge, the store offers a huge range of products in clothes for all ages. The shop consists of three floors which is no suprise due to the fact how busy they get usually.

The lifts and escaltators are very easy to use and have no problem with them at all.The shop all around is clean and not messy staff always are on the look out for anything not clean.

The staff are all friendly and always more than willing to help.

Cons Parking is hard to find which is really frustating.
