    Pros: The Thomas Street area is good for those wanting to see contemporary art. First up is the Chinese Arts Centre in Market Buildings, relocated here last year there is a good sized gallery with shop and "tea bar". Along the road at no 59, the well established Richard Goodall Gallery who combines excellent photographic exhibitions with an amazing range of music posters. Across the road at No 40 is a new gallery "Stroon" in the basement of clothes shop My Goodniss, and around the corner is the Craft and Design Centre on Oak St.

    Cons: none apart from city life being very expensive.
