Good place to furniture shop

My new painted dresser is beautiful. it really is. Also the table and chairs look fab. Thank you :) it has finshed off the conservatory. Delivery was a week late but worth the wait .Service is excellent , the staff helpful and price was better than expected. The quality of the furniture is first rate.

Great furniture shop in Benson

If you are looking for good quality furniture this place is great. My husband and I hade been to the usual John Lewis and chain furniture shops and did not find anything we liked. It was either a cheap imported furniture or that dreadful flat pack style. This place is called real wood furniture and it says it all. Prices pretty keen too. Nice linch next door too at water side cafe.

How delightful a local shop that really does have furniture you wont find anywhere else. We have been looking for a table and chairs for well ages and we dropped in here by chance and what an Aladins cave it is. Why dont they advertise!! we only live 9 miles away and have never been in before.. In the shop it said they had been there for 28 years. Well anyway it is a really good shop with beautiful furniture. We bought a table that is simply to die for and we also bought a sideboard to match. Will be back now we know where it is !

My wife and I placed an order for furniture in November and we have just taken delivery of it. I have got to say we are very happy with it.The old wood looks great in our barn conversion and the custom made wardrobe is a great fit. A big Thank you from Chateau St. Paul

The12 ft table looks awsome and so does the 5 x 5 coffee table ! We have recently taken delivery of a lorry full of furniture from this shop in Benson Oxfordshire for our holiday chateau in the Loire.We have fitted out 10 letting bedrooms and a second small cottage in the grounds with t he Plank range. We had to send our delivery lorry to Benson Pine at 10 pm on last thursday evening and they opened up for us and helped load for 3 hours "! A Truly exemplary service.. Shop and have lunch on the river

We placed an order here for a rustic plank sideboard, a "plank table" and 6 chairs. Order arrived on time with no problems and quality is excellent.

I ordered a painted bedroom suite from this shop and I am really pleased with it. The furniture was delivered on a sunday morning an within 8 weeks of the order date. I was told 6 weeks but I can live with 2 weeks late. The staff are friendly and helpful and I was able to choose a specific colour in the Farrow and Ball painted range which was great because I was able to match the colours of my bedroom.

A Great place to buy furniture

At Benson next to a cafe on the river Thames. A really great little shop that does not sell the usual imports. All handmade in UK which we both support and all furniture is constructed from ethically sourced and managed resources which again is something we subscribe to. We placed and order for 4 custom made bookcases (we are both solicitors) and a desk. The order was delivered on Sunday and it has exceedded our expectations. The bookcases are well made and they have even supplied special supports as they felt they would be more rigid. Whole heratedly can recommend this place it pays to shop local

a good shopping experience

We have looked for a table and chairs for our cottage for over 2 years and had not found anything we had liked. A friend of ours had purchased a wardobe from this shop in Benson and said they had really good furniture. My husband and I found the shop one saturday afternoon, it is not in Castle square as sat nav took us to, but on the riverside in Benson next to a cafe. The staff were very helpful and the furniture was exactly what we had hoped for. We placed and order for a dining table and chairs and a sideboard.It arrived on saturday 21 st and was a week earlier than advised. I must say we have been very impressed by the furnjiture and the service we received here.

Just received furniture

This is the second time we have used this shop for furniture and I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for the great service and great furniture.We have taken delivery of the plank furniture range for our chalet in Switzerland. Most items have been custom made for us and it looks absoluitely fabulous in situation.

My experience with this shop was completely different. The staff were helful the prices are really good but the best of it is the furniture. yes they were a lttle late ( 10 days ) but well worth the wait in my opinion.Will be shopping there again

ordered furniture from here in may 2009 with promise of 4 to 6 week lead time. phoned at 6 weeks and fobbed off, seemed well versed in trotting out excuses. went back following week and they were rude. after two further weeks and still no committed delivery date they were frankly aggressive - became very clear they had little or no intention of delivering. luckily paid by credit card. credit card company refunded money. my advice if you really want to shop here is absolutly do not pay cash deposit - either agree 100% payment on delivery or use credit card (note credit not debit card - only credit card gives protection)

We bought a new bedroom suite from here with wardrobes chests and bedsides. It is really nice furniture and the painted finish is also very good. The delivery men were very careful and nothing was too much trouble for them.

We stumbled upon this furniture shop whilst having lunch next door one saturday afternoon. I found a beautiful table and chairs in the kind of style I had been looking for for years. I have been back since and have now furnished our entire holiday house in France with this rustic range of furniture.They also do made to measure

A pleasure to do business with

In January of this year I approached BensonCountry Pine to provide me with some custom made furniture for our new house. I had been recommended to them by a friend who had dealt with them on a previuos occasion. I must say we were delighted with not only with the furniture but with the price which was under half of what our joiner had quoted us. The whole process from start to finish was a pleasure and thank you again for the excellent furniture and service.

Very poor service

We originally ordered a wardrobe and tallboy and were quoted a 6weeks wait. The reality was 15weeks with no feedback as to the delay. Undeterred we then ordered a couple of bedside cabinets and after repeated enquiries and poor excuses, finally got a refund after 6months. Dont ever expect them to apologise.
The whole point of trying to shop there was to keep the trade 'local' but such poor service and attitude means that we now travel elsewhere to shop.

Benson Country Pine took my money and didn't deliver the goods

Cons: Benson Country Pine gave us three delivery dates, but the goods didn't arrive on any of the agreed dates. We asked for a refund, were at first ignored, then bullied, then finally a refund was agreed. That was over two months ago and after more ignored letters and phone calls, we're on the verge of taking legal action. More on this later no doubt...

A truly horrific shopping experience

Pros: NONE

Cons: Order placed 31/12/2006, and quoted 6 weeks delivery, finally last piece delivered 18/10/2008 nearly 2 years late, still not how we ordered it but have given up hope of ever getting what we ordered. Numerous phone calls to shop that were never returned, even threats of taking them to the small claims court were ignored
