CCC a cool coup of camping and caravanning

    Jul 4, 2008

Pros: Though other shops have similar stocks, none in my experience have the breadth of the ranges that CCC has. Camping, caravanning, leisure, walking, you name it, they seem to have the kit for it.
We like camping and have spent hours admiring the tents, all professionally erected indoors and giving you no idea of the struggle you might face once on the campsite in high winds, pouring rain or fast setting sunlight. However, they do have a good range in simple tents to suit families.
Even air beds can be found in plentiful choice here, ideal for temporary guests at home or camping.
There are pen knives and other small and handy gadgets to suit most people, and the corresponding batteries and carribeners and bags.
They have a good range of footwear and outdoor clothing, I buy sports sandals there and find the range preferable to normal shoe shops.
They even have a camping and caravaniing guide which details campsites in the UK, contact details and their facilities, very handy. Even better with some money off vouchers in the back.
The tow bar fitting place is there in addition to a selection of bicycles, you need go no further to have a great outdoor holiday.

Cons: Reasonable access around the store but lacking for those in wheelchairs and with double pushchairs.
The indoor display of tents is quietly disarming and cannot prepare you for the real grass instead of astroturf, the full quantity of items you'll want to take along, or how cold it can be at 5 am. It looks idyllic but prepare well and you'll be fine.
Parking is lousy! The on street parking is severly lacking and the car park is minute and frequently used by the entire occupants of the climbing centre next door.
