Jul 23, 2008Pros: Pomfret tearooms is a tradtional style coffee and snack bar serving pots of tea, frothy coffees, sandwiches, lunchtime snacks and children's meals.
It is very welcoming (a bit like going to your granny's for tea) especially for families. It does an OAP special too which is nice to see.
It is based right in the middle of Pontefract so it is easy to get to and there are no steps etc.
I like this tea room, it's probably one of the best if not the best in Pontefract.
Cons: It can get packed out especially on Saturdays and market days. Service on these days can be a little slow so it's not great if say you are in a rush or on your lunch hour.
It's not a 'trendy' place so don't expect a huge range of paninnis or rocket salad!

Pomfret Tearooms doesn't make it into the trendy bracket but it obviously still does deliver what it says on the tin.
