Hello everyone,
From the very beginning I really liked asos website. I thought it was a nice and easy way of staying trendy. Well, apparently not! I have been extremely disappointed by asos's service quality every time I ordered something. And this will be the last time I will even enter their website. A few days ago I ordered a package for my holiday. Some dresses, shoes, bikinis, etc. And I chose Next Day Delivery because I would leave for my holiday the day after. The package DID NOT arrive the next day. I contacted them asking what was going on. They said there was a problem with their courier service and my package would be delivered the day after. Now that was already a little bit inconvenient since it meant that I had to wait at home for another day, which was the last day before leaving for holiday. But the package DID NOT ARRIVE yet again. I contacted the customer service again and they said that there has been an attempted delivery and there should be a card in my mailbox. It did not make sense since I have been home all day waiting for this package. But I went and checked my mailbox and there was nothing left. So given that no one rang the bell for delivery and there was no card left in my mailbox, obviously there have been no attempted deliveries. I still do not know what happened to my package (which was worth £164.50) and I will have to leave for my holiday without the clothes I had ordered.
I guess, many people would share my disappointment. I was so excited about those clothes and asos's incompetent delivery service ruined all the fun and caused so much inconvenience. If I knew it would not arrive before my holiday, I would go and do shopping. But because I had to wait at home I could not do that either. So I am left with nothing in my hands. I had to sacrifice two days of work because I had to wait at home for these deliveries (because I work in the field I do not have a work address that I can get my packages delivered to). I got frustrated, stressed and upset because I had to deal with incompetent and unresponsive customer service. Shopping is about having fun, right? Well, asos made sure that it is all hard work and there is no fun left in it.
It seems like they are only interested in selling their products, and not interested in giving a good after-sale customer service. The only thing they were quick at was charging my card for the purchase and I do not even know now how I am going to get that money back since they are not responding my emails about cancelling the order. I wasted a lot of time and energy tracking this package and I am just giving up. I am giving up on asos as well.
Given that they have so many competitors in online fashion industry, I think it is going to be a long way down for asos from where they are now. Asos, as a publicly-listed company, has a lot of responsibility towards its shareholders, stakeholders, and most importantly to their customers. If they cannot realise that customer satisfaction is key to any businesses' success, they are doomed to lose.
I love ASOS and it’s a site I visit most days even just to keep up to date with fashion. They stock a massive range of clothing and accessories for both men and women. Their clothes range from their own brand clothing, to high street brands and designer brands.
The website is easy to navigate, even for a internet novice and is appealing to the eye.
The quality of their clothing, in my opinion is fantastic along with the value for money. I personally love it when they have a sale as you can pick up some really good bargains.
Their delivery is always prompt and their returns policy is simple, although it can be a bit fussy as you have to return things via the Post Office which when you work full time can be a pain. An issue I do have with returns is that it is not pre paid and I tend to find their sizes can be very different so more often than not I have to return things
ASOS is great for shopping from the comfort of the sofa, but there is the downside of not being able to try things on to make sure they are definitely going to fit before you buy them
Even with its bad point, I still love ASOS and would definitely recommend it to anyone and will be using them again soon!
I pretty much visit the site daily, as it is a major player in the fashion industry. It produces trend-led items at a low price, and also introduces me to boutique brands that I wouldn't have previously heard of. It also has a great blog with the latest celeb looks and trends and a magazine full of interesting features. I just wish the quality of their own brand items was a little better, as I have a skirt from there that's snapped and a top with a whole. I also wish they had more discount codes, or a regular delivery offer with free returns as this would increase my orders from the site.
Pros: I think this shop is like a breath of fresh air on the internet, until now I don't know of another online clothes store I would actually recommend, I can appreciate that the options for women are excellent with loads of clothes, different brands and varieties with lots of accessories at great prices.
For men, and this is the part I generally check, there is some incredible value for money and the options are enormous, you can order a huge range of funky t-shirts, there is a large belt section, formal wear is covered, they do have loads of jeans, shoes, hats, anything you can think of is here, its generally much cheaper than the high street and usually different and a bit cooler. There are some great offers and I really rate the accessiblity, design and flow of the site too, purchasing is easy and quick to do and delivery is swift and efficient.
Pros: Asos sell fantastic quality clothing and great prices.
They do a large range of clothing for woman which includes, dresses, jeans, tops, t-shirts, lingerie, shoes, boots an more.
They also stock a large menswear range including shirts, jeans, trousers, jackets, t shirts and more.
They also have a beauty and accessory section which includes Perfumes, Make up, Fake Tan & lotions, Jewellery, Watches, Belts, Scarves, gloves and much more!
As well as their own branded clothes they also sell highstreet brands such as Oasis, Miss Selfridge and other popular highstreet names. They also sell designer clothing which inclues G-Star, Miss Sixty, Bench and lots more.
The quality of their clothing is fantastic and i have never had any problems with faulty items. A lot of their clothing is also seen on other celeb's, and they get a lot of styles from them.
Their returns policy is very easy to follow and they issue refunds very quickly.
This is a great to look for a whole new outfit, or that litle black dress. It's great to get new clothes for the holiday as in the summer they also sell swim-wear.
Their sales are fantastic and you will always find bargains in there, they are always worth checking out early as they run out of stock of things quite quickly!
Cons: Some of their sizing can vary and can fot a bit strange!
Pros: I really like ASOS, as I am the type of man who likes to have clothing that other men don’t have. They have a wide range of jumpers, tops, jeans and trousers and much more. Also the good thing with ASOS is the range of pricing from reasonable to real designer which means you can look like the celebs.
They also have some really good accessories such as bags, sunglasses and jewellery, and the delivery pricing is good too. And they have women’s clothing too again with a range of pricing from reasonable to designer which my girlfriend loves.
I have just bought my family some cosmetics for Christmas from ASOS which I think they will all love.
Cons: The only downside to ASOS is the obvious fact that you can’t try on the clothing before you buy, which can be a pain as the sizing is quite strange, my girlfriend who is a size 12 bought a dress as a medium and it was really big on her so needed altering so watch out for that. Other than that I feel this website is really good for men and women.
Pros: Quality of product - Massive range and great choices catering for different sizes and shapes. Great value for money. Regular updated and love the email newsletters.
Website itself is easy to use and naivgate
Cons: Photo doesn't always give a true representive of the garment though return/refund service is easy and straight forward.
Pros: This is a great internet shop. They sell a good selection of clothes for both men and women including brands such as ringspun, oasis, warehouse, fred perry. They also sell footwear including uGg, rocketdog, adidas, dr martins and a good range of accessories (bags, jewelry). What I really like is that you can see images of the items on real models and also on famous people who have been spotted wearing the outfits. You can also see a catwalk of your item so you can really see how it falls and moves. This is ideal for internet shopping where you can't try the items on. The site is easy to navigate and really worth a look to get some ideas. It's good if you are in to fashion or even if you don't follow trends.
Cons: Some items are a little too expensive for what they are.
Pros: ASOS stock a massive range of clothes. Collections range from their own brand designs, high street brands, such as Oasis and Miss Sixty, up to 'designer' ranges, such as Paul and Joe Sister. You can browse the equivalent of several high street stores from the comfort of your own armchair.
Delivery is always prompt and I have never had anything missing from my package.
Cons: I always return several items from my order, usually because they are not as nice as they looked in the photos on the website. Sometimes this is due to the style and sometimes due to the quality.
You have to send your returns back via the post office which can be irritating given that most local post offices are only open during working hours (assuming that they haven't been closed down).
Returns are not pre paid. You have to pay to send your returns back. This can be costly if you have several items to return or you have a large item, such as a winter coat.
They send out special offer codes and often seem to miss me out. For example there was a knitwear promotion last week and I wasn't sent the offer, which was irritating because coincidentally I had wanted to spend over £100 on knitwear that day. TBH these days discount codes for ASOS are hard to find in comparison to other fashion retailers.
I check my prices elsewhere before purchasing from ASOS. I sometimes find that the same branded items are available elsewhere at a much cheaper price.
Pros: I do like this site, good brand names and love some of the fashions
Cons: Pictures sometimes do not do the garments justice, I bought a blouse, took a while to come and it was not as nice as it looked on the site, but all in all good site
Pros: I have bought several things from ASOS over the years and have typically found them to offer a good service.
Cons: On one occasion they sent the wrong size dress and the delay in returning it meant I had to go out and buy something else for an event I was going to, which defeated the object of buying the original dres in the first place.
I much prefer shopping for clothes in stores rather than online.
