That's Tesco Value

Pros: I applied for Tesco car insurance because I was shopping around for a decent car insurance deal and they were about the cheapest. Then I realised that I got £50 back, plus Tesco clubcard points, so that made them by far the most competitive deal around! I've only had to make one claim so far, when someone went into the back of my car, and I found the staff to be friendly and sympathetic and very helpful, so I renewed for another year. Would definitely recommend Tesco to anyone!

As Cheap As It Gets

Pros: I went with Tesco Car Insurance purely because I've got an old car that's not worth much I wanted the cheapest car insurance going just for the sake of being legal. I found that Tesco were about £10 more expensive than the absolute cheapest but they then offered £40 in shopping or petrol vouchers back which made them the cheapest by £30 in effect.

I applied online and it only took about fifteen minutes in all with the paperwork following up through the post a few days later. I submitted my proof of no claims discount a couple of weeks later and received my discount vouchers around the same time which I used to fill up my car with.

When I had a question relating to acceptable proof of no claims discount, I found the staff really friendly and helpful which is reassuring to know.

Cons: I personally haven't had any bad experiences with this insurer to date.
