Within 5 years of opening , in 1969, the demand for the recognized good quality dishes served by the cafe was so great that expansion was necessary.The only expansion at that time was into the basement of the property, thus the first stage of a building Programme was started which was to continue with further expansion projects over the next 4 years. Apr 18, 2009The Sweet Centre is one of Bradford's best Indian restaurant and is situated in the Lumb Lane area of Bradford, within walking distance from the City Centre and the busy Manningham Road.
It is a long established and well known Indian restaurant serving the very best in Indian cuisine, it has received numerous accolades and an award as one of the top ten restaurants in Britain by The Independant Newspaper.
The restaurant is decorated to a high specification with a traditional asian theme complete with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
There is a huge choice of dishes available to suit most tastes, which the staff are happy to adapt to your taste on request. I'm often spoilt for choice from the vast menu and often try new dishes everytime I visit, which are always truly scrumptious.
The Sweet Centre seats approx 100 people in the main restaurant and also have a breakfast, lunch and evening menu, including sweets and beverage.
I would urge anyone living or visiting the area to give The Sweet Centre a visit, you won't regret it.
