BView has three APIs for publishers!
Voucher & Offers API
This API enables you to use any and all of the vouchers from BView -- the UK's most comprehensive clearinghouse for money saving offers. We have aggregated from many sources vouchers for tens of thousands of merchants and locations from across the UK. This API enables you to display on your website any of three types of vouchers:
- Voucher codes for saving money with online retailers (e.g. Dixons, Pizza Hut)
- Printable local vouchers from small businesses (e.g. restaurants, tradesmen)
- Local offers from national merchants (e.g. Pizza Express, Starbucks)
This API is highly configurable so it has many possible uses, including:
- Locally focused sites who want to provide local vouchers for local merchants in your area
- National sites who want to display and/or allow users to search for offers by name of merchant or by location.
- Mobile applications that want to enable users to use local vouchers as they walk or drive through various locations in the UK
- Shopping sites that want to Incorporate voucher codes into existing content from online merchants
This API can be combined with the APIs below to create even more applications on your site. Publishers who use our Voucher & Offers API share any revenues we make through your integration. This API is published here.
Local Search API
Our local search API allows you to integrate our search results into your website. A great example of this in action is over at Ask Jeeves. This API can be combined with the Voucher & Offers API and the Content API to create powerful localised offerings. We haven't published this API yet but if you are interested we can send documentation to help you get started.
Content API
Do you need rich content about local businesses to add to your own site? Our content API could be useful and includes ratings, reviews, photos, descriptions and promotions. This API isn't published yet but if you are interested we will supply complete documentation. If you don't have a local business directory already, this API can be combined with the Local Search API to create one on your own website! BView supplies local content to a range of websites, including Google Maps and Ask Jeeves.
